Adam (name changed for privacy) was tragically killed after a drunk driver struck his motorcycle. Read on to see how our team leveraged our fifty years of experience to help Adam’s mother in the wake of the loss of her son.
Adam was a senior honors student at his local highschool, an excellent cook, a hard worker, a brother, and a son. Looking forward to a full life, Adam was making plans for college when his young life was cut short on a late June night when he approached the intersection of Shive Lane and Scottsville Road.
As Adam went to turn onto Scottsville, a negligent driver made an illegal left turn and collided with Adam’s motorcycle. The driver did not immediately stop, and drug poor Adam across the road several feet. When the driver exited her vehicle, she was unsteady on her feet and started shaking poor Adam on the ground with his fatal injuries. When local EMS arrived, they found Adam is a half concious state, and shortly after he passed away from multiple blunt force. Bowling Green Police charged the driver with DUI since she had slurred speech and could barely walk.
When Adam’s mother called Flora she immediately met with her to not only begin working on her case but to console her for the tragic loss. With policy limits $1,000,000 Flora’s team fought vigilantly for every dime. We understood this would never bring full justice nor this wonderful young man back to life. The driver was indicted and served time. Hopefully this will be a lesson to all of us that impaired driving can result in tragedy to others on the road.
