Metcalfe County is home to around 10,100 people and was founded in 1860. Named after Thomas Metcalfe, Metcalfe County is an agricultural hot spot responsible for a significant portion of the state’s burley, tobacco, and hay production. The area also benefits from a large dairy and beef cattle industry. The rolling hills and flat bottomlands make the area prime real estate for crop cultivation and raising livestock. Located on the Cumberland Parkway, Edmonton is a friendly stop for thousands of travelers in Central Kentucky.
When she’s not engaged in her legal practice, Flora is out in the community, helping in the schools, charities, and fundraising events. If you’ve been out and about, you might have seen her law firm’s mascots, Poppy and Pixie, the raccoons. She has donated over $200,000 to charities and fundraisers over the years including: BG OnStage, Stuff the Bus, Lions Club, Toys for Tots for Southern KY, International Center of KY, Band Together BG, Poppy Field Trips, Thunderfest, Holy Spirit Catholic Church, South Central KY Kids on the Block, Operation Stand Down, Buddy Walk, and Save Our Kids Coalition. Flora, Matt, and Poppy deliver school supplies to Metcalfe County Elementary.
