WBKO Television: BOWLING GREEN, Kentucky (WBKO) — Kid’s across the country listened as others read some of the classic Disney books, and that also took place in
Bowling Green on Saturday.
Flora Templeton Stuart, a local attorney, read to kids at Barnes and Noble.
“This is a really special day,” says Templeton Stuart. “Who doesn’t love reading books to kids? That’s really special.”
ABC partnered with Disney for this event and with each purchase of a Disney book, they’ll match it with a book donation to kids and schools in need.
“They’ll go to kids who don’t otherwise have these books and these wonderful stories like Beauty and the Beast and all.” says Templeton Stuart.
ABC says the program will donate at least 1,000 books to a school of need in the South Central Kentucky area after all the books have been collected.
