The Law Firm of Flora Templeton Stuart will work hard to protect your child's civil rights under the law and obtain the compensation you deserve.

We work hard to collect the damages our clients deserve, based on the many factors of each individual case, we work hard to leave "no loose ends". Even after the case is settled we negotiate for our client's liens with Medicare, Medicaid, Health Insurance or negotiate with the healthcare providers (doctors and hospitals) to reduce bills so our clients will be made whole. In representing children, we set up trusts as well as college funds for their future. In representing our clients, we also do everything we can to make sure they obtain medical treatment with qualified physicians and hospitals. No fees, costs or expenses are collected unless our client recovers.

What constitutes sexual child abuse?
Sexual abuse involves forcing, tricking, bribing, threatening, or pressuring a child into sexual awareness or activity. Sexual abuse occurs when an older or more knowledgeable child or an adult uses the child for sexual pleasure. The abuse often begins gradually and increases over time.
Sexual abuse can be physical, verbal, or emotional and includes:
Sexual touching and fondling
Exposing children to adult sexual activity or pornographic movies and photographs
Having children pose, undress or perform in a sexual fashion on film or in person
"Peeping" into bathrooms or bedrooms to spy on a child
Rape or attempted rape
What are the signs of child sexual abuse?
Child victims of sexual abuse have multiple behavioral changes that may call your attention to a problem that may call for in-depth investigation, such as:

Why is my child silent?
Often children do not tell anyone about what has happened to them for fear of rejection, abandonment or punishment. They may be:
Too young or unable to put what has happened into words
Threatened or bribed by an abuser to keep the abuse a secret
Confused by the attention and feelings accompanying the abuse
Afraid no one will believe them
Ashamed or embarrassed and blame themselves or believe the abuse is punishment for being bad
They may worry about getting into trouble or getting a loved one into trouble
